Peeta Vs Gale


    Now i only find it fitting that my last blog will also be about the hunger games just like my first blog. I am currently reading the second novel of the hunger games series called catching fire. Now I went very in depth in my first blog but one thing I didn't bring up is the relationships specifically the romantic. I myself don't "Ship" Katniss with either of her love interests. I feel in the movies it felt rushed and that they didn't actually develop a connection. One was a friend she friend zoned a long time ago and the second she was forced to act lovey dovey with to avoid being killed. Not to mention Peeta "not the friend" basically tried to kill her once in the movies via strangulation but that's a whole nother conversation. In the books it builds a bit more on Katniss and the friend's relationship, so it makes a bit more since. For instance, in the book, they both initially planned to escape the district more than once and not just them chit chatting in a meadow. I also felt Katniss liked the friend more in the book, same with him. He got pretty jealous about her forceful engagement, but they ended up getting past that pretty quickly due to him saying he loved her. I thought it was cute in all but there was still a sense of distrust between the two of them that never got fixed. Now back to Peeta, I don't like his character that much. :/ In the first book he slips that he liked Katniss this whole time leading to them having to fake a relationship making both Katniss and me quite uncomfortable. Like think of it she's forced to be in a relationship with a guy she barely knows while also having to kiss and hug him for camaras. I will cut him a little slack because he does state a few times that he wants to know if their interactions are real but still. What did he expect?

Now if you don't know Peeta one. Now I preferred Peeta ngl mainly because they went through the same trauma. People frequently bond with people who share the same interests/hobbies or same traumas that they have went through. Usually is a coping mechanism but ultimately ends up being about having someone who just gets you. Both Katniss and Peeta went through and survived the games together just to be put right back into it.
I know it's a shorter blog but I have really enjoyed writing these blogs that end up being me ranting.

       I've recently replayed the Little Nightmares series and have realized little things in the world that have made me think. Little Nightmares one and two are a puzzle horror game where you have to hide and maneuver around several monsters in the game. I have made a few theories on what different parts of the game could mean. For instance, every single monster that is shown is a disfigured adult. There's a teacher, cook, hunter, etc. While you appear to be very small you have to sneak passed these monsters who tower over you. A Dystopian World

     For those who don't know the hunger game is basically a fallen U.S. dystopian that has twelve districts. Each districts have its own wealth and problems, Katniss, the main character, lives in the poorest district, district twelve. Each year the government called the capital holds an annual Hunger Games in which a boy and a girl's name from each district will be drawl from a bowl. They will then have to participate in the huger games and compete to the death until there is one winner. Kaniss's sisters name gets pulled and she ends up volunteering to take her place in the games, Peeta being the boy that was pulled. I found three things that i found quite intriguing while reading The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins.     The relationships in the book felt more real than in the movie, specifically between Rue, Peeta and Katniss. A Demonic Plauge

           So I picked up the first three volumes of Girl from the Other Side which is a manga/graphic novel. The volumes are a bit short so I decided to just put them together. Most graphic novels are either about a romance, a superhero, or both. But this book was different. The book is set in a dystopian world where there is a demonic plague of creatures going around. If you get touched by sed creatures you become one. The main character, a little girl named Shiva about the age of five or six, is drawn in all white so she stands out amongst the dark world. Then we get to the second main character, a monster plagued with the curse of looking like one of them while still retaining his humanity, looks after the child after finding her wandering in the woods on her lonesome.
